Welcome to Colourstory. By shopping with us, you agree to the following terms. We've tried to write these in plain English — if anything is unclear, please reach out and we'll be happy to help.

Our Products
Colourstory pieces are sourced from artisan communities in Rajasthan, India. Many are one-of-a-kind or made in very small quantities. Colours, textures, and subtle variations are part of their handmade nature and are not considered faults. Product images are as accurate as we can make them, but natural dyes and handwoven textiles may vary slightly from screen to screen.

Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD). Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments. We reserve the right to update pricing at any time, though any order already placed will be honoured at the price shown at checkout.

Shipping
We ship from New Zealand. Delivery timeframes and costs are outlined on our Shipping page. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, courier services, or circumstances outside our control. International shipping needs to be quoted, reach out by email.

Returns and Exchanges
We want you to love what you receive. If something isn't quite right, here's what we can offer — please contact us within 14 days of delivery at hello@colourstory.nz with your order number and preferred option:

  • Exchange for a different size — free of charge
  • Swap for another item — receive a store credit towards it
  • Store credit — valid for 12 months, redeemable on anything in the store
  • Refund — return postage is at your own cost

We accept unworn items only. Please include a note with your name, order number, and reason for return — it genuinely helps us do better.

Refunds and credits are processed within 10 working days of receiving your item back, once it has been checked.

Please note: because many of our pieces are one-of-a-kind, we recommend reaching out before purchasing if you have any sizing questions — we're always happy to help.

All content on this website — including photography, copy, and brand identity — belongs to Colourstory. Please don't reproduce it without permission.
